DENYING DENIAL (Has Your Opinion Evolved ...?)

Updated: Aug 22, 2022

I am more that a little curious, about people that believe that climate change is a hoax, that live where the weather patterns have become… unusual and extreme.

How are they (you) able to reconcile the dichotomy of your belief…?

There's never a news story that doesn't refer to the fact that a particular weather phenomenon, it's intensity and ferocity, was more violent than ever before.

“I've never seen anything like it”… which is what you hear on every single extreme weather newscast. No matter what country the news is covering.

Everyone everywhere is baffled by this unsettling and destructive weather we’re all experiencing.

And frankly, for me, if you don’t believe your own eyes and ears, the pertinent science is overwhelming.

If we are paying attention to multiple sources of news, the science affirming global warming patterns is solid.

You’d need to be in-tune with what the world is saying.. not just your local info-tainment source, in order to make an informed analysis.

There is no logic in believing that the member nation agencies commissioned to address climate change, worldwide, have been put together to deceive those of us that are ‘too smart’ to ‘fall for it’.

It is my belief that we instinctively and subconsciously rationalize and make excuses, if we are not prepared to accept what we don’t like or don’t agree with.

This seems to hold especially strong when it pertains to those truths which, as sensitive humans, we simply cannot face.

I think this is the case with basically all climate change deniers.

None of us really wants to acknowledge that the complete destruction of our planet, and the utter annihilation of it’s people, at our own hand, is nigh.

It is a part of human nature, to develop the ability, to tell ourselves what we need to hear, in order to cope with the unpleasantries of reality.

HAS YOUR OPINION EVOLVED….?
